A car wash owner knows what it is like to have long lines of cars waiting to be washed. pcAmerica has developed a system where cars can be processed while on line for the car wash. Imagine a system where a greeter can go to each car in line, punch in the customer's order onto a handheld computer that fits in the palm of your hand and processes the order on the spot.

If your car wash is full service, where a customer exits the car and enters the building to pay, you can use the Palm unit to enter an order in, put it on hold, print a ticket with a special on hold id and the customer can pay inside. When the customer is ready to pay, the cashier chooses the on hold id that is printed on the ticket to retrieve the invoice. You may even have some impulse buying items such as air fresheners or candy at the counter that can be added to the invoice before the transaction has ended.

A typical cash register system would include Cash Register Express, Pocket Register portable point of sale, a handheld wireless Palm Unit, Dell small form factor computer, cash drawer, thermal receipt printer, pole display, credit card reader and bar code scanner. A wireless system like this will speed the process of handling customers. In a busy car wash, the faster you service the customers the more money you will make.

Cash Register Express can also get your customers to come back. With the use of customer loyalty features like gift cards, coupons and customer bonuses, you are sure to have repeat business.
